Goals and Objectives of Nutrition Network
Develop and disseminate educational materials and support to health care professionals. Establish guidelines for the nutritional support of young people with cancer. Encourage the translation of knowledge about nutrition into clinical pediatric oncology practice. Facilitate networking and the exchange of research data on relevant issues in nutrition. Provide opportunity, including funding, for research projects related to nutrition in children and adolescents with cancer.

Specific responsibilities of the Network involve, but are not limited to:
Organizing the annual SIOP-Nutrition pre-meeting or post meeting day, if approved by the Board. Reviewing the abstracts related to nutrition for the main conference if requested by the Scientific Committee. Propose symposiums to the Scientific committee relevant to nutrition or Integrative Therapies Co-ordinating regular communication between group members via and teleconferencing, using Cure 4 Kids. Responding to requests for information/assistance from the Board with respect to matters on nutrition. Interacting with other SIOP committees such as PODC and Supportive Care. Fostering collaboration with external organizations approved by the Board.

Provide training and development for HCP in pediatric oncology nutrition Contribute to building impact evidence for nutrition interventions in pediatric oncology Establish a global directory for pediatric oncology nutrition practitioners and a platform to share resources. Provide ongoing support, training and networking to HCP Develop a research consortium to write a grants to answer clinical and translational research questions within the network. Establish a research network to propose research questions that a collaborative consortium could develop. Develop Competencies and Standards for pediatric oncology nutrition

2. Contribute to building impact evidence for nutrition interventions in pediatric oncology

3. Establish a global directory for pediatric oncology nutrition healthcare practitioners and a platform to share resources. Platform to share resources Cure4kids Directory under formal IPONG on cure4kids (Nutrition HIC)

4. Provide ongoing support, training and networking
Cure4kids working meetings Support for HCP from HIC to initiate interest in global pediatric oncology nutrition

5. Develop a research consortium to write a grants to answer clinical and translational research questions within the network.

Possible research areas: Body Composition studies to decrease long term side effects of therapy Effect of (Anticancer) Diet X Standard American Diet Fasting and Intermittent fasting as a therapy
