Oxygen enters the bloodstream (where it is less concentrated) from the lungs (where it is more concentrated). Identify the statement which describes the type of transport and process that took place. The oxygen is moving by diffusion away from the cells because it was produced as a result of cellular respiration. The oxygen is moving into the cells by diffusion so that cellular respiration can occur. The oxygen is moving by active transport into the cells so that photosynthesis can occur. The oxygen is moving by active transport out of the cells because it was produced as a result of photosynthesis.

Gizmo- Diffusion Completion Grade
On the back of the purple grading sheet (blank side), grade your peers gizmo for completion. Write the number that applies: OL (pages 1 & part A only – not 6 & 7): 10 points – 50% done 15 points – 75% done 20 points – completely done AC (whole packet):

Cell Egg-speriment – page 24 of i.n.b.
Goal: to observe how various materials enter or leave a cell, using an egg as a model of a cell OL: In your interactive notebook, write a hypothesis (educated guess) about what will happen to the size of the egg after leaving it in water for the weekend? Will it increase or decrease in mass & why? (9/14/18) If I place an egg in water, I think it will (grow/shrink) because _________________ (use info about diffusion/osmosis to help with your explanation) Draw data table (see smartboard)
