2. To date (As at 31 Dec 2016)
Two WIGOS workshops at the Management Level were held (Namibia in 2015 in English and in Senegal in 2016 in French
Two WIS workshops were held (Morocco and Nairobi). Pretoria workshop planned for 1st Quarter of 2017
WG on Observations, telecommunications and Infrastructure met in Senegal in September 2016
Every country in RAI is now aware of WIGOS and its objectives and potential outcome

3. Way forward
RAI Management to consider the recommendations from the two workshops and compile a consolidated Report by May 2017
- complete the registry of focal points for WIGOS (and WIS)
- Re-establishment of TT-WIGOS
- Decide on 2 Pilot Projects (Morocco and Tanzania)
- Decide on the 5 WIGOS Centres (one per sub-region)
- Decide on Madagascar as RWC for the SWIO
