Interesting use of positive and negative shapes Good arrangement of shapes. Some visual interest. Clear foreground, middle-ground, and background. There are a variety of shapes- more thought could go into placement and cropping Not much thought in capturing fore-ground, middle-ground or background Minimal or no thought in finding an interesting composition. Painting Technique Study color scheme review Develop craft, Stretch and Explore – Create a painting technique study composition that includes: At least 6 different color schemes A section dedicated to each of the following techniques: – Impasto with modeling paste – Glazing- with matte medium – Scratching/scraping – Dry brushing – Crisp edges and overlapping – Free experimentation- try any combo of above techniques
