Filtration By Mimi and Scarlett
2
How it works! Filtration works by removing a solid from a liquid. It works by separating a solid from a liquid by pouring the mixed substances though a filter paper, which is placed in a funnel and the solid particles are larger so dont pass through the filter paper resulting the liquid to be clean with no extra particles!
3
Definition of Filtration The action or process of filtering something!
4
Where its used. It is now used for pollution control and cleans the air and oceans. It reduces the solid particles into the atmosphere. Its used in everyday life like straining pasta, in science class rooms, in a vacuum and sifting flour when making a cake.
5
When did Filtration begin? It began in 1627 Sir Francis Bacon tried to separate salt from water at the ocean but sadly failed Scientists went further with his method and thats how they invented filtration as a way to separate.
