4. What qualifies as Community Service?
ANY service done in service to the COMMUNITY including donations ​
VOLUNTEERING done after school hours in service to the SCHOOL

5. What do hours count towards?
Every student earns an Advisory grade (5%) in every class​
Advisory grade is made up of two things:
1) Getting your character card signed and
2) Making progress toward your community service requirement every 6 weeks​

7. FAQ
Can I use community service hours I earn with another organization towards my total for YWLA?
Yes! You can use hours earned with Green Team, StuCo, MACE, etc towards your total.  Please note: It might not work the other way around to use hours for YWLA towards some other group.  Make sure you check with your advisor.​
Does baby sitting my little brother/sister/cousin count? 
Unfortunately, no. We want to give you the experience of serving the community through this requirement.  Also, it makes it something you can put on your college resume! Win – win!​
