Key Learning Learning environments which are both safe and require on-going student introspection are critical to promoting positive service-learning outcomes. Meaningful student-youth engagement requires clear and flexible program structures and processes. Transformative student reflection requires multi-faceted methods performed regularly and intentionally. Service-learning courses and prospective community agency partners must carefully consider how well their aims align, particularly with respect to student learning.
