3 User Interface Before revealing, ask students if they know what a user interface is. A user interface is software that serves as an translator between the user and the computer. The Google Docs, Sheets and Slides all have similar user interfaces. Once you are familiar with one interface, you will be familiar with all of them.

The Working Area is where you create your content in the Application. Clicking the star indicates that the document is important. Each tab opens a menu that contains related commands, used to do work in the document.

5 Keyboard Shortcuts Ctrl + C Copy Ctrl + V Paste Ctrl + Z Undo
Keyboard shortcuts are combinations of keyboard keys that allow you to perform Menu commands faster. Ctrl + C Copy Ctrl + V Paste Before revealing, ask students if they can list any common keyboard shortcuts. Ctrl + Z Undo
