2. Introducing Sprintathon
Sprintathon has two purposes:
It’s a charity event to raise money for Stand Up to Cancer (part of Cancer Research UK)
It is a mass participation running event with the ambition of breaking the world marathon and 1 hour distance records in a continuous 100m sprint relay

3. 2016 - Looking Back Smashed the marathon world record by 10 mins
Narrowly missed the 1 hour distance record
A fantastic community event, supported by the Town Council and local and national celebrities
Over 350 participants
Raised over £20k for Stand Up To Cancer
Achieved significant PR and awareness (see Appendix)

4. 2017 - Looking Forward - Saturday July 1st
Go faster again!…
Beat our 2016 marathon time
Break the record for most 100m sprints in 1 hour
Raise £50k Stand Up to Cancer
Build towards a broader launch in 2018
A mass-participation corporate challenge to find the fastest business in the UK
Fastest qualifying businesses participate in a final Sprintathon at the Olympic Park
