Aromatic compounds are those that contain one or more benzene rings.

Aromatic compounds follow the same naming rules as we’ve already used. GD

4. Naming Aromatic Compounds
Some aromatic molecules will contain more than one substituent group. In these cases you name the substituent in alphabetical order with the lowest numbers possible. 1 2 6
