The first phase: Managing growth
The first phase: Managing growth. Sustainable Development in the Tourism Sector Commercial Action Plans (KUTAP), methodology transfer to KCC based on the plans developed by the Chambers of Commerce in Valencia Region, with the main objective to adapt this experience to Kusadasi‘s reality. To improve the technical capacity of the KCC in order to prepare the Kusadasi Chamber to lead the development and the implementation of the Strategic Plan. To strengthen the frame of dialogue and participation between the KCC, the Municipality, the Regional Government and the civil society.

The second phase: Disgnostico de partida.
Desconocimiento por parte tejido empresarial local de estrategias que puedan mejorar su competitividad. Necessity to offer quality services: : una Cámara de Comercio más profesionalizada. Urbanistic/ turistic model of development insostenible a medio plazo. Necesity of streng the collaboration of the agents socials, economics and politics of the city and the region.

The second phase: main objetives.
A) To increase the degree of profesionalization of the Kusadassi Chamber of Commerce (KCC) and to promote that the KCC develops innovative services f or the local enterprises. B) The KCC should become one of the main local agents that promotes the local economical development but also the local distributor of EU information. C) To consolidate the public- private partnership we had built between the KCC and the municipality in the first phase of the project D) Know-how transfer of the KUTAP methodology to Didyma and Selcuk. E) Development of the Programme “City of Smiles”. This programme was designed in the first phase, with the main objective to reinforce the level of quality services provided by tourism enterprises.

A) To increase the degree of profesionalization of the Kusadassi Chamber of Commerce (KCC): Establishment of the “Kusadasi Small Business Development Centre”: Support and counseling to entrepreneurs. Technical assistance on actions for enterprises. Information about regulations and sources of funding (EU regulations included). Support to the entrepreneurs and employment trainee. Staff training (based on good experiences demonstration). Transfer of “know-how” of Valencia’s Region SBDC. Definition of the “Development Plan”. Services start up (presentation and opening of the centre). SUPPORT ACTION

Development of a local community workshop: “Trying to find the basic needs of the Kusadasi commercial community in order to provide quality services to increase the local development”. Definir que servicios esperan los empresarios locales del SBDC. Presentar el proyecto de SBDC. Transfer “Best Practices”. Presentar el proyecto KCC “EUROWINDOW”.

D) Know-how transfer of the KUTAP methodology to Didyma and Selcuk. Start the works to development, a medium term, an Strategic Plan en Didyma and Selcuk. Seminars: carried out to formulate and metodology of the KUTAP. Establish 3 working groups to define the short and medium term actions that will be included in their respective strategic planning. If it’s possible, start up the SSP. Intervención de expertos españoles en los seminarios. Monitoring the process. Asistencia a los working groups. E) Development of the “City of Smiles” programme . This training programme focuses on enhancement of services that local enterprises offer to the visitors. Analyse the services by sectors (hoteliers, entertainment, commerce, services with added value etc). Development of the “Basic Guide for the tourism services implementation”. Workshop of presentation. Experts from the CCCV will transfer the experiences carried-out by the different Chambers of Commerce in our region.. Definition of the “Basic Guide for the tourism services implementation” Presentation on the workshop. SUPPORT ACTION
