MAJ Mike R. Meyers Bio MAJ Mike R. Meyers is a 18 year Active Duty Army veteran who currently serves with the 4th Sustainment Brigade, assigned to Fort Carson, CO. He joined the Army in January of 2000 as an enlisted Soldier with the MOS of 75B10. In 2005, Mike earned a commission from Tarleton State University-Central Texas into the Army Quartermaster Corps. Mike’s service includes assignments to, 15th BSB, 2-BCT 1st CAV, E-FSC, 1-5 CAV, 2-BCT, 1st CAV, HHC, III CORPs, Fort Hood, the Forward Support Company (FSC) Commander for Golf Company, 2-32 FA at Fort Riley Kansas, HHBN, 1st Infantry Division, 6th Ordnance Company, USAMCK, 19th ESC, South Korea, 4th STB Rear Provisional, HHC, 120th Infantry Division, First Army, 4th Special Troops Battalion, Battalion Executive Officer. Mike has contributed over 10,000 hours of volunteer service and utilizes military basketball as a method to provide active duty service members

The Military Basketball Association (MBA) was designed in 2018 to provide volunteer basketball coaches and players an organization that seeks to further promote the Military Athlete. The Association is governed by its Commissioner and 9 Board members. It has currently accepted 3 Military Basketball Conferences that make up a total of 34 active installation varsity level programs. Every year Between April and May, the MBA host its Finals in Colorado Springs, CO. 16 Teams qualify and compete to determine the best installation in Military Basketball. This year the MBA will introduce a Women’s Tournament for the first time that will consist of 8 Teams. It is an excellent opportunity for members of the community to interact and support active duty military members from all services around the nation as they meet in Colorado Springs, CO every year.
