Plot distance and time
Time goes on the x axis
Distance goes on the y axis

A straight diagonal line represents constant motion (not changing speed)
The steeper the slope, the faster the object is moving
A horizontal (flat) line represents an object that is not moving at all

5. Graphing Speed To calculate speed from a graph of motion
Find the total distance on the y axis
Find the total time on the x axis
Speed = distance divided by time
