How do we do it??? To provide as many high quality sport and active recreation opportunities within the borough as possible to its residents addressing barriers to participation. Provide support to as many clubs as possible to achieve clubmark within their respective sports. Provide support to clubs to try to access volunteers, funding, education and coaching courses to assist in the quality and sustainability of their delivery. Provide a link with Derbyshire Sport to access regional and county projects and funding (Sportivate, Club Developers, County Funding bids). To support the Community Sports Network and any sport specific forums within the borough to ensure the needs of clubs and sport are met within the Council strategically. To work with the school sport partnership to increase the opportunities for high quality sports activities, and to ensure these activities are effectively linked to community provision.
