When the war has taken away your home
The project “When the war has taken away your home…” is a collection of 12 unique life stories that we have put together in one book. With every story, the reader is living through someone’s life, can see the pictures of modern Ukraine and those actions that happen very close to all of us. Our characters are people who faced the war unexpectedly. They have lost their homes, relatives, usual life… but not belief and hope in the future. Writing down the memories, we have tried to keep the real vocabulary and style. We believe that these components are important for a true understanding of what our compatriots have gone through in the XXI century. When reading a book, the reader may have an impression that memories look somewhat tangled, sometimes a bit illogical, which only reflects unpredictability of life and horrors of war. The war is still on, and many people have their relatives left on the occupied territory.
