33rd Frontier Licence Round:
The OGA currently has no plans to acquire and release new data for the 33rd Round
The 33rd Round will cover all areas away from infrastructure (incl. Rockall, MNSH, East Shetland Platform, SW Britain)
There is an opportunity for industry to acquire seismic data to support activity in the 33rd Round (Multiclient or Group Shoot)
To incentivise Multiclient Seismic Acquisition, the OGA intends to offer an additional 5 years of data confidentiality in Frontier Areas (i.e. 15 year release period) through new regulations
Proprietary Seismic Acquisition will also be incentivised through an increased confidentiality period.
