To The Tune of “Fresh Prince of Bel Air”
Now here’s a story all about how my day got flipped upside down; I’d like for you to take a little rest, as I tell about my experience with the Milestones test. I woke up in the morning, but went to sleep late, I forgot to eat breakfast, sealing up my fate. My mom was yelling at me to, “GET IN THE CAR!”; Running out to my driveway without my shoes, I couldn’t get very far. I pulled up to the school and heard the late bell, I ran down the hallway, and thought, “This is swell.” I said “hey” to my teachers and sat down in my desk; How could I have done this and expect to do my best? I got my pencil and the answer sheet. I smelled something funky- it was my classmate’s feet! I looked over the questions and there was no one else to blame, I was so tired, I forgot my own name! My eyelids were heavy, and I started to drool; But I have to stay focused and do well in school. I fell asleep and woke up two hours later; It was awesome I tell you, I dreamt I was a pro skater! The test was finished, and my teacher freaked out; She was jumping up and down and started to shout. I realized what happened and the test wasn’t finished; I lost my cool, my respect was diminished. In one month’s time, I got my results; I saw the scores and didn’t believe my eyes. I’d be grounded forever, and never see the blue skies. Don’t be like me and not succeed! Get some rest and try your best! We believe in you, now go pass the test!
