Coach Trent South

2. Welcome all
My name is Trent South. This is my 4th year of teaching Math.
I graduated from the University of West Alabama in 2015.
I began teaching at Sumter Central High School when I graduated.
My second year I split time between York West End Junior High and Kinterbish Junior High in York, AL.
Last year I taught at Pell City High School.

3. Subjects Taught
I have taught every math subject from Algebra I to Pre-Cal since I began teaching back in I have primarily taught Algebraic Connections and Algebra 2 since I began.

4. Coaching Experience
I began coaching the same year that I began teaching.
I coach football and basketball.
At Sumter Central I was apart of the first team in school history to reach the Final Four in Birmingham.
My second year as a coach I was the head coach at Kinterbish Junior High where we won the County Championship.
Last year I served as an Assistant Coach at Pell City.

5. Coaching Cont’d
As a football coach I have primarily served as a Quarterback’s Coach, but I have coached running backs and wide receivers in my two years that I coached in Sumter County.
I took a year off last year from coaching football when I was at Pell City.

6. About Me
I graduated from the University of West Alabama in Livingston.
I majored in Math and a second major in Education.
This will be my 4th year as a teacher.
I am a Tide fan through and through
I have competitively played basketball since I was 6 years old

7. Hobbies
In my free time I tend to spend a lot of time watching basketball and football to get new ideas for schemes to employ to give a better advantage.
Alabama football on Saturdays with my dad are typically how I would spend a Game Day, or a trip to Tuscaloosa is always a possibility
Trips to the beach are also something that I really enjoy

8. Subjects I Currently Teach
Here at Munford High School I will be teaching Algebra 2 and Geometry.
Algebra is one of my specialties so pay attention and I can promise that you will learn a lot

9. Extracurriculars
Aside from teaching this year I will have a hand in coaching the basketball team this year. I will be with the varsity and junior varsities in some capacity.
