hOMEWORK

Learning Targets I I can use related rates to solve real-life problems. I modeled real-life problems involving related rates. I used differentiation techniques to solve related rates problems

Related Rates Many real-life problems involve multiple variables that are related to each other and are changing with respect to time. These problems are called related rates problems.

Ripples in a pond A pebble is dropped into a calm pond, causing ripples in the form of concentric circles. The radius r of the outer ripple is increasing at a constant rate of 1 foot per second. When the radius is 4 feet, at what rate is the total area A of the disturbed water changing?

An Inflating Balloon Air is being pumped into a spherical balloon at a rate of 4.5 cubic feet per minute. Find the rate of change of the radius when the radius is 2 feet.

Learning Targets I I can use related rates to solve real-life problems. I modeled real-life problems involving related rates. I used differentiation techniques to solve related rates problems

Assignment #7 §2.6 pp : 21, 31, 37, 44, 53 Chapter 1 and 2 review (Choose 10 problems from each chapter) Due Sept 20th
