1 Conclusion

2 4 things NEED to be in your conclusion
Our conclusions summarize how your results support or contradict your original hypothesis: This paragraph summarizes your science fair project results in a few sentences and use this summary to support your conclusion. Include key facts from your background research to help explain your results as needed. State whether your results support or contradict your hypothesis. State the relationship between the independent and dependent variable. Summarize and evaluate your experimental procedure, making comments about its success and effectiveness. Suggest changes in the experimental procedure (or design) and/or possibilities for further study.

3 Example Conclusion My hypothesis was that Energizer would last the longest in all of the devices tested. My results do support my hypothesis. Energizer is an alkaline (using zinc and manganese) battery and this allows it to maintain the voltage longer than alkaline battery at any level of current drain. This experiment was successful in testing the voltage. The procedure was efficient. Some measurements needed to be taken quickly because of the different devices used. One could revise the procedure to use devices where the measurements were taken over the same amount of time. (ADD ANY ERRORS OR CHANGES YOU WOULD MAKE TO THE EXPERIEMENT IN THE FUTURE) Further studies might involve testing the batteries at different temperatures to simulate actual usage in very cold or very hot conditions. Further studies could also use a variety of brands of alkaline and non-alkaline batteries to see if all brands produced the same results.
