4. Formation of a Wood Product Research Forum
Under the guidance of The Department of Trade and Industry
Made up of academics from universities and the private sector, institutional representatives and various government departments
Establish a research framework
Work towards common goals in sectors identified as strategic and important
Work together to leverage funding from the private sector and government
Cohesively pool skills an resources to find solutions to issues affection the entire industry
Produce research that is open source and accessible and applicable
