2 Accessing Online Resources
Online resources for students in 1st through 5th grades can be accessed directly from your child’s District iPad, or from your home computer or mobile device.

3 From your child’s iPad, select the TigerID icon to open the TigerID login portal.
Note: The TigerID icon may be in a different location than shown, but should be on the homescreen.

4 Login to the TigerID Portal using your child’s TigerID and Password.

7 Open the Chrome browser (Or Safari if using a Mac.)

8 Math Students may switch from their homeroom teachers for math instruction 5th grade math courses cover all PA state standards and all of the same curriculum Students have math homework most nights

9 Reflex Math: Grade 5 Automaticity of basic math facts is important to form the building blocks for higher-level math concepts. ● Students will use Reflex Math on their iPad for basic math fact practice. Reflex Math incorporates games at every level to help students quickly gain math fact fluency and confidence. ● Rocket Math “Two-minute timings” will still be used for assessments. Rocket Math materials may still be used as a supplement to Reflex Math at individual teacher discretion.

Types of sentences and the parts of sentences Prepositions, nouns & articles, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs Verbs, including main verbs, helping verbs, action verbs, linking verbs, verb tenses Assessments occur once per lesson Additional practice available in the students’ grammar practice book Students need to take their grammar practice book home to study if grammar is difficult for them

15 Morning Journaling Journal Prompt- Provided Monday or first day of the school week Revisions- There is always a chance to revise for a better grade, until the end of the marking period! Grading: Content-12 points Mechanics- 5 points Spelling- 5 points

16 Spelling New spelling lessons are introduced on Friday for the following week. Spelling packets are digital and are due every Friday. Spelling tests are on every Friday.

Declaration of Independence American Revolution Constitution American Government Students will receive study guide sheets throughout each chapter that will help prepare students for the chapter test. Also, students will complete a project per chapter, and be provided with a guideline sheet and rubric to use as a checklist.
