What can I talk to my counselor about?
Academic – including course selection and ways to improve study skills. Career – planning for your future, because your future starts today. Social/Emotional – personal issues that can affect your performance in school.

Graduation Requirements
Students must complete 24 total credits of required and elective courses For Honors Diploma students must complete 12 credits (24 semester credits) in honors/honors option and Advanced Placement (AP) courses, attaining an A or B. Chris Smith – GATE Coordinator

When will I see my counselor?
9th grade students see their counselor during: Freshman Classroom Introduction/Career Activity Mental Health Presentation Pre-registration Session Individual appointments

Where is my counselor located?
The counseling office is located near Door 6, in between the Attendance Office and the Administration Office. Appointments are strongly recommended: stop by the office before school, after school, or during your study hall/open hour to schedule an appointment. (Appointments can also be scheduled by calling during school hours) The office secretary will schedule your appointment and give you a pass. Counselors are also available for students to walk- in/drop-in when necessary.
