1 BirchStreet Training: Ingredient Linking using the Free Form Ingredients Tab

2 Click on the Free Form Ingredients Tab

3 Select “This Property’s Recipes”

4 “Input Ingredient” is the ingredient that you manually entered when creating the recipe.
“Select Ingredient” is the library ingredient you link to for nutrition purposes.

5 We are going to change the Search Column to “Input Ingredient”
And Search for “Fresh Avocado”. Fresh Avocado

6 Next check all of the ingredients that you wish to link simultaneously, in this example we will check them all.

7 Click “Link to Library”. Click
Increase search returns by simplifying text to “Avocado”. Click “Link to Library”. Click Select appropriate ingredient.

8 If available, select a preparation from the dropdown box.
The selected ingredient has now replaced the original input ingredient. Click “Link”. If available, select a preparation from the dropdown box. The majority of Avocados below have an “Each” uom, that’s what we’ll select. each

9 For this example we are choosing “cubes”.
Click the magnifying glass button next to the ingredients of which you desire to assign a more accurate preparation. For this example we are choosing “cubes”. Ounce

10 Click “Save” and you are done!
In this example you have linked 10 ingredients in the time it takes to link 1!
