Allocate the top row to one group and the other the bottom row. The aim of the game it so get to the end of the row first by guessing whether the next card to be turned over is higher or lower than the previous card. To decide who begins ask them a question, such as one of the examples below. The first one to answer correctly begin the game. Example Question: What is commonly thought of as the centre or core of a person? A: Heart B: Soul C: Mind - Answer: Heart. Encourage them to read out loud the passage on the next card out to work out whether it is higher or lower than the previous. If they guess incorrectly, the turn goes to the other team/person. To turn over a card double click on the card you want to turn over. When the game is finished encourage everyone to think about which of these cards are important to them, and if they could put them in order of importance, which would be higher or lower on their list of priorities. Introduce National Youth Sunday – double click on the title for the card with a quote from Jesus to become visible – it is from the Sunday reading, where he tells Pilate that those who follow the truth listen to him. Encourage them to consider making Jesus their king of Hearts – so that he can help them with the other cards in the deck of their lives.
