You have 25 minutes for this task
Using pages (great criticisms of Bernstein!) and your hand out (Great for information on Douglas and criticisms of his ideas!) complete the focus on Five’s for Bernstein and Douglas. Parts of it have been filled in for you to model the style of writing you need to use in sociology. You must explain which social class is most likely to use each code and why this leads to their children having an advantage or disadvantage. You must explain what impact parental attitude, parenting style and their own experience of education have on working class and middle class children You have 25 minutes for this task

It is essential that you complete this task and bring it into class as you’ll need it to complete a practice exam question next lesson This will be due: Thursday 15th September
