Goal 1: To establish an on going inter-professional training program to undergraduate and graduate students in health sciences to successfully utilize Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT).
Goal 2: Ensure sustainability of SBIRT at Appalachian and increase practice of SBIRT throughout NC to increase the number of successful referrals for individuals who suffer from a substance use disorder, including those in regions of health disparity.
