to eliminate conflict (Heb 12:14-15; Rom 12:18)
to build others up (Rom 14:17-19; Acts 11:23-24; Col 4:8; 1 Thess 3:2)
to be a united body (1 Cor 1:10; Eph 5:21; Eph 2:14-15; John 17:21-22)
to be like the Lord (2 Pet 1:3-10; Rom 8:29)
