Rangeland Resources Planning Course Objectives:
Inventory of ranch resources, survey and evaluation of range practices, and economic analysis. Development of a comprehensive ranch management plan. Management of rangeland and ranch resources in a social context.

Rangeland Resources Planning Course Goals:
Students successfully completing this course will: Develop reasoning skills that will provide each student the ability to address issues the discipline of rangeland management raises. Apply previous knowledge and experiences... Conduct an inventory of rangeland resources. 4. Conduct regular self assessments of knowledge strengths, weaknesses.

5. Assess management resources, practices and information needed to manage different types of rangeland throughout North America. 6. Consciously raise questions when confronted with a new rangeland management issue 7. Evaluate the appropriateness of management plans for rangelands

Rangeland Resources Planning Course Goals:
8. Develop an understanding and appreciation for the various rangeland management techniques available to managers and that there are multiple management objectives possible. 9. Produce a management plan incorporating appropriate practices that address the proposed goals. 10. Go to any rangeland in North America and have the skills necessary to produce a rangeland management plan.

Written and oral communication Professional behavior Reflective writing Group work Several range management plans of increasing complexity as semester progresses
