Presentation on theme: "Inclined Surfaces in Isometric Sketches"— Presentation transcript:

1 Inclined Surfaces in Isometric Sketches
There are different kinds of surfaces: Principal  snap blocks Inclined  parking garage ramp Oblique  not perpendicular to any principal plane Curved Surface  defined on a principal plane (in 1182 and 1186!) Chapter 2 of the Text

2 Objectives Up to this point, we have created isometric sketches of objects that can be built from blocks. Now, we will learn how to incorporate inclined surfaces into isometric sketches.

3 Normal Surfaces Normal surfaces are either horizontal or vertical.
When building an object from blocks, it contains only normal surfaces.

4 Inclined Surfaces Inclined surfaces are angled with respect to vertical or horizontal planes. Inclined surfaces can occur in any orientation on an object.

5 Drawing Inclined Surfaces
First, draw the surfaces that are not inclines. Then, draw the lines to connect the corners of the inclined plane. CLICK

6 Inclined Surfaces in Isometric Sketches
Use this time to practice sketching objects with inclined surfaces. In class assignment (GP-06)
