Go exploring on this scavenger hunt. See what you know, find something new and hopefully learn while having a little fun. Where do you go to access the Volunteer Toolkit? You forgot your password. What do you do? How many tabs are available to explore on the Volunteer Toolkit? What tab do you select to pick out the year track you want to use? When creating your custom year plan, what are the different types of meetings you can search? The troop decided to plan a trip to the zoo. You want to add it to the Year Plan calendar. How do you do that? Locate the awards log for your troop level? Where on the VTK can you get help adding a meeting to your year plan? Where do you go to access the
Volunteer Tool Kit?

Log In Go to the Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois website – and go to MY GS>Volunteer Toolkit to access the VTK

You forgot your password.
What do you do?

Log In When you log on, you will use your address as your username and you will enter the password you created. If you forget your password, click on the “Forgot Your Password?” link and you will receive an from Member Community which will give you details as to how to reset your password.

How many tabs are available to explore on the Volunteer Toolkit?

Tabs There are six tabs leaders can explore – My Troop, Explore, Year Plan, Meeting Plan, Resources and Finances. Parents will only be able to see and explore five tabs as the “Explore” Tab will not be seen.

What tab do you select to pick out the year track you want to use?

Explore Tab The Explore tab is where you would begin by either choosing “Select Your Own” or “Pre-selected Tracks” to see what choices you have available to plan your year.

The troop decided to plan a trip to the zoo
The troop decided to plan a trip to the zoo. You want to add it to the Year Plan calendar. How do you do that?

Year Plan Tab Click on the “Year Plan” tab and select “Add Activity”. You will be taken to a page that will allow you to enter details of the activity you are planning and then you will click on Add Activity at the bottom of the page. This will populate the new activity into your year plan calendar for everyone to see.

Resources Tab The Awards Log link for your troop’s level can be found on the Resources Tab.

Where on the VTK can you get help adding a meeting to your year plan?

VTK Help Menu On every page in the VTK on the far right side of the page is the VTK Help Menu. Just click on it and see some of the most asked questions or type in your own question.

Find the list of supplies for a meeting and see if you can print it?

Meeting Plan Tab From the Meeting Plan tab, select the meeting you need the supplies for and under “Planning Materials”, you will find the “Materials List” link. Click on the link and the materials list will open and there is a print button you can select to print the list.

Can I send a reminder to the parents in the troop about an upcoming meeting
from the VTK?

Meeting Plan Tab Leaders can send parents reminders of an upcoming meetings and include links for meetings aids and important forms. Go to the Meeting Plan Tab and select the meeting you want to inform the parents about. Click on the Edit/Sent Meeting Reminder link. This will generate an like the one you see here. Check the box from the Address List - Parents /Caregivers. You can also add any other addresses needed in the “Enter your own” box You can send out the as written or customize it as you wish. Add any meeting aids or form links available, if needed. Then click “Send ”
