4 Prophase Chromosomes become visable, spindle begins to form (late)
Nuclear membrane dissinegrates

5 Metaphase Chromosomes “line up” in the Middle

6 Anaphase Separation of identical chromosomes produced in replication

7 Telophase Two new nuclei formed after chromosomes have been pulled to the “poles”. Nuclear membrane reforms. Cleavage furrow (animals) or cell plate (plants) visable.

8 Cytokinesis “Splitting of Cytoplasm”
Not part of Mitosis (not part of nucleus) Two identical (but smaller) cells result
