McCarthyism in the US Senator Joe McCarthy & HUAC
The House of Un-American Activities Committee acted out of the House of Representatives to find Communists within the government. ( ) This quickly spread into private businesses. “The Hollywood Ten” most notable case. The term “McCarthyism” was coined in 1950, the beginning of a 4 year term where Senator McCarthy led “Witch Hunts” convicting people of mostly libel and treason. Senator Joe McCarthy & HUAC
