There are differents points where we can find the possibility to save energy in compressors installations; The first is the leakages that we have in our installation.Normaly customers have a lot of small leakages and They don’t realice that each one is a big lose of air. The Drop of pressure from the compressor tank to the end point of the installation. If we need to increase the pressure setpoint due to this pressure drop, we are consuming more energy than we needed when we start our project. 3. In the process of compressing that the compressor makes, this process is very inefficient because of the lose of heat during the process. Think that it can be around the 93% of the consumed energy. We can solve that, using the created heat in an other process of our enterprise, as; a. Sanitary hot water. b. Heating industrial premises. c. Using in our industrial process.

4. It is very normal to use towers or radiators to cool the water used in the refrigeration process of our compressor. Doing that, we must take in account; The ambient conditions of our geographical situation in order to use the “enthalpies”(use the energy that we can have in the nature). With that we will get two things at same time, Save energy and control the water temperature of the compressor Avoiding extremal cold water in the cylinders refrigeration(lower temperatures of 14 degrees can cause premature wear of the segmentation)

5. The compressor efficiency is a value that normally the customer doesn't realize that is important when he makes the purchase investment of the compressor. All customer are regarding the price of the machine and the value that everyone should consider is the efficacy, it means the energy consumed to produce a Normal cubic meter of air. Kwh/Nm3. If you are using a low pressure compressor, 7 bar, 0,095kwh/Nm3 should be a good value and if you are using high pressure(pet compressors), 39 bar, a good value should be ,175 kwh/Nm3

6. The working pressure. Do you have the compressor working at the needed pressure in your process? It is very important to know which is your confortable area in pressure and reduce the compressor pressure as much as you can. This way you save energy also. - As exemple in high pressure, to rise 1 bar the final pressure of the compressor means consume 1,5kw more. And this is very simple to explain. Only changing the end pressure from 38 bar to 39 we have 1,5 kw x 4000 hours = kwh. NEW DEVICE ARBPSD/18 We set automatically the nedeed pressure at your blowing machine only with a specific comunication with the compressors.

7. The inverter Those days the most used device to save energy is the INVERTER. Advantages of the INVERTER. a. You can have the possibility to reduce the energy compsuntion adjusting the speed of the compressor to the flow you are requiring. b. The starting process is done at Nominal Amperes of the electrical motor this way you don’t have the peaks of consumption which penalize a lot in the bill. c. The power factor is automatically corrected by the drive itself and reactive energy is another value that heavily penalizes the invoice.

8. The fractionated regulation. Using this device we can also save energy. Our compressor must have double acting cylinders and this way we can regulate the valves to work fractionating the load and working %. We can reduce the flow the 50% and also reducing the energy consumption accordingly.

9. NEW DEVICE RFPESD/17 + INVERTER We are going to explain specifically and develope those points, 7 and 8. Talleres Haizea has developed a device that can work with both systems. If with the inverter we can reduce the speed of the compressor upto the 50%, the air flow can be reduced also to the 50%. And adding the fractioned regulation (RFPESD/17) we can make de 50% of the 50%, meaning that we can have the 25% of the flow of the compressor. How can we appreciated that in the energy consumed? If we can have a energy saving of the 20% with the inverter adding the fractionated regulation we can get the 26%-28% of energy saving. This device can also automatically set the compressor with a signal received from your blower machine, setting two or more different blowing pressures automatically.
