4 KANSAS-NEBRASKA ACT Changed rules of Missouri Compromise
Settlers of Kansas and Nebraska voted to decide if slavery should be allowed. Led to fighting in Kansas over slavery – Kansas became known as “Bleeding Kansas”

5 Dred Scott Decision Dred Scott was an enslaved African who asked the Supreme Court for his freedom because he lived on free land. The Supreme Court denied him his freedom. It also ruled the Missouri Compromise unconstitutional.
