1. Whose fault is this?

2. The Rana Plaza was an 8 story building in Bangladesh north west of Dhaka (the capital city)
The building collapsed on 24th April 2013 killing 1130 people.
The 3-8th floors were factories which manufactured cheap clothes for companies including Primark.

3. The Rana Plaza Collapse 2013
Your task is to investigate the collapse using the cards and decide who is at fault for the collapse of the Rana Plaza. In groups you are going to prepare a 2 minute speech to persuade the rest of the class that your suggestion is correct.

Asiya
Rana Plaza workers
Mr Rana (the building owner)
Primark
The Bangladeshi government
Dhaka’s building inspectors
The Police

4. Final Task
Having listened to all of the options we now need to pick the 2 suspects that we think are the most at fault. These two suspects will then be questioned by the remaining groups until we decide on our culprit.
