Their: shows possession Ex: Their children are naughty. There: pronoun Ex: The children are over there. They’re: contraction of they are Ex: They’re getting the children ready for school.

WEEK 3: AFFECT VS EFFECT Affect: verb, to cause a change Ex: The late night affected Sam’s test score. Effect: noun, a result Ex: An effect of the poor test score was that Sam was grounded

WEEK 4: PRINCIPAL VS PRINCIPLE
Principal: noun; the head of an organization or a sum of money. Ex: The principal spoke at the assembly. Principle: noun; a basic truth or law Ex: The teacher taught us many important life principles.

WEEK 5: CAPITAL VS CAPITOL
Capital: city, money, punishable by death, or letter Ex: The residents of the state capital held a protest. Capitol: a building where lawmakers meet Ex: The capitol has undergone extensive renovations

WEEK 6: WEATHER, WHETHER, AND WETHER
Noun: the condition of the atmosphere Ex: The weather is supposed to be cold and rainy. Verb: to expose to the elements or to safely come through, survive Ex: The building weathered the storm. Whether Conjunction: introduces possibilities (similar to "if") Ex: Whether you want to or not, you must attend school. Wether Noun: male sheep Ex: The wether ran through the pasture.

WEEK 7: SIT VS. SET Set: verb, to place an object Ex: She set the book on the table. Sit: verb, to be seated Ex: You need to sit down in your chair. Sat: verb, past tense of sit Ex: The dog sat in the window all day
