Electronic File – a document can be scanned but the product will have less clarity than an electronic original
Type of paper – Card stock/Bond, Color, Size.
Color or Black printing
Finishing – stapling, folding, binding, padding

3. You have to have a file. (Unless you are ordering one of the many Forms.)
The best file form is pdf. The file also needs to be “one-up.” That means one page at a time.

4. The pages in the file need to be formatted to the right size
The pages in the file need to be formatted to the right size. If you are making a booklet and you are using 8.5x11 paper, the page size is 8.5x5.5. The page size is the same as the finished size of the product. You might have to add a custom size. Look carefully at your file. What you send is what is going to be printed.

5. Black printing or Color printing?
Color is more expensive than Black and can take slightly longer since the Print Shop only has one Color machine. The Color printing from the Print Shop is very, high quality.
Color printing is not available for every product. For example: we cannot print in color on NCR(Multipart) paper. If color is not available for a product, it will not be listed as an option

6. 3. What is the kind of the paper to be used?
The Print Shop has lots of paper in stock. Picking paper that is in stock also speeds up a job. Special Order paper can add days to production time.
You can tell whether a product is Special Order paper because the product name will say Special Order. Also the Media description will indicate Standard Paper.
Click on Media in the Product and a pop-up will show you the types, colors, and sizes of paper available for that product.

7. 4. What kind of finishing do I want?
The Print Shop has a lot of finishing choices: such as, stapling, folding, cutting, binding, padding. Folding: Choose Folded Brochure Binding: Choose Books and then either Saddle, Spiral or Combs. Cut and Padded: Choose Notepads or General Printing.
