PROGRESS UPDATE DEVELOPMENT WORKS BY FWO:
FWO has substantially completed the development works. The development works includes Road Works Sewerage Works Water supply works Drainage Works Road retaining Structure Bridge Soft landscaping Hard landscaping Services of a consultancy firm is being hired to take over the completed development works. FWO has been advised to carryout the rectification works before takeover of the scheme. FWO was also requested to carryout the development activities on 100 kanal land, possession of which was taken over on , however FWO is reluctant to take up the works.

PROGRESS UPDATE WATER SOURCE DEVELOPMENT:
Four overhead & four underground water reservoirs have been completed. Work on water transmission line out side the scheme along Japan Road is held up due to intervention of miscreants. A water source within the OPF Scheme area has been developed in December, 2016 having capacity of 10,000 Gallons per day to meet the initial demand of the housing scheme. As the land acquired for installation of tube wells is in litigation, the proposal have been invited for purchase of 10 kanals to 50 kanals land in the vicinity of OPF Scheme for installation of tube wells.

PROGRESS UPDATE ELECTRIFICATION BY IESCO:
Underground Electrification Work is in progress. Interim supply has been made available and further work on independent feeder line is in progress inside the scheme. The IESCO was requested to takeover the possession of plot (duly approved by IESCO Planning Wing) for construction of Grid station with in OPF Scheme, however, the IESCO has desired to offer substitute plot as the plot falls in depression.

PROGRESS UPDATE APPROACH ROAD THROUGH IBECHS:
The OPF Board approved the proposal to have access to the scheme through Gulberg Greens, a project of IBECHS. Agreement between OPF & IBECHS was signed on As per terms & conditions of the agreement OPF had transferred land measuring 804 kanal in favor of IBECHS. The IBECHS handed over provisional allotment orders of 75 residential plots measuring 500 sq. yds to OPF on During meeting of Managing Director OPF with Secretary IBECHS held on , it was agreed that IBECHS will construct the 1st access road (60 feet wide) to link OPF scheme by April 2017 and the 2nd access road of will be constructed by December, The IBECHS also agreed to issue the allotment of 76 plots (measuring 500 sq. yds. each) with plot numbers including location plan

PROGRESS UPDATE Construction of Boundary wall:
The work for construction of boundary wall and security posts around the OPF scheme was awarded to the contractor at a total cost of Rs million. The contractor has been mobilized at site and the construction of boundary wall and security post is being commenced within a week time. Removal of surplus soil: The work is being awarded to M/s Haji Pasham Khan & Co. at a total cost of Rs million.The work is expected to be commenced shortly.

IMMEDIATE ISSUES Handing over Possession of acquired land measuring 24 kanal-15 marla to OPF by Land Acquisition Collector/DC Islamabad for installation of tube wells is still pending. Possession of acquired land measuring 102 kanals was handed over to OPF by Land acquisition Collector, Islamabad falling within boundary of the scheme on However, the land litigants are illegally dispossessing OPF. The matter stands reported to Police authorities. Land measuring 395 kanals is under litigation in Islamabad High Court.

IMMEDIATE ISSUES The Prime Minister of Pakistan through Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & HRD was requested for lifting of moratorium for provision of Suigas. In response, it has been conveyed that, provision of Sui Gas to OPF Scheme will be considered once ample supplies become available and moratorium is lifted. Agreement between OPF & IBECHS was signed on for sharing of approach road through Islamabad Expressway OPF has fulfilled its obligations by transfer of 804 Kanals land in favor of IBECHS. However, IBECHS Management has not yet fulfilled its obligation.
