A. Cuba receives arms supplies from the Soviet Union B Cuban exiles are met by Castro’s forces and captured or killed at the Bay of Pigs E. US spy planes discover nuclear missile sites on Cuba F. Soviet Union increase their supply of arms to Cuba, including missiles, tanks and jet fighters D. A secret CIA plan attempted to use Cuban exiles to overthrow Castro C. Fidel Castro overthrows American backed government in Cuba … and select the most importance cause of the Crisis. Why is it the most important?

Results of the Crisis ‘Hot line’ set up.
(2) United States secretly removed all its nuclear missiles from Turkey and Italy. (3) A Test Ban Treaty was signed between the two countries in August 1963. (4) The prisoners captured during the Bay of Pigs invasion were exchanged by Castro for $60 million in food, drugs, medicine and cash. (5) The United States became convinced that the Soviet Union would not go to war over another communist country.
