HOMEWORK due in Monday 16th April
Read at least 3 times each week and ask an adult to sign your reading diary to confirm. Complete the reading test (Time limit: 60 minutes). You each have your own 10 minute maths tests CGP books (we have completed similar tests for homework in the past). Over the holidays… make sure you finish SET A ONLY! Make sure you think about what you are being asked to do for each question. Check your answers and ensure that you have not gone over the time limit. Due to the changes in the Literacy curriculum children in Year 6 are expected to be secure with all KS2 spellings. There will be no choice of spellings, in terms of degree of difficulty. For spellings you will be given every word we have covered since September. You need to look at all of the words and highlight any that you know you still struggle to spell. With these words… Three Times! Write each spelling three times using a different colour each time (Cover them in-between). Write a short story using your spelling words. Underline the spellings you have used. Find a synonym for each word. (Means the same) Note: please encourage your child to present work in their homework book to a high standard.
