1 What is Sex?

2 What Sex is – according to you!
Something people do to reproduce and have children. Something you share with someone special and once you’re of age and both 100% truthfully consensual. An act that should be performed by a married couple. The married couple should be in love and it should be consensual. I believe that if you’ve been in a loving, committed relationship for a long time and you are old enough (25+) you should be able to have sexual intercourse.

3 What Sex is – according to you!
Natural, but should be done at a certain age. Wrong before marriage. Sex is sacred so it should be saved for who you will spend the rest of your live with. Not a light topic, but is something that needs to be discussed because people our age are going to do stupid stuff anyway, so they need to know about being safe. To make a baby and a form of trust.

4 What Sex is – according to you!
Can be something good for married people but it can also be OK if young people wanna do it. I think people, especially religious people are very judgy about sex. A bond where two people who are truly in love, trust one another and they have a strong connection with each other. Sex isn’t something you do to have fun, it’s an action that you do with your partner to feel love, trust and much more. Good. I don’t think it matters about waiting until marriage (most of the time).

5 What Sex is – according to you!
Something to save for marriage. Your choice, but you have to deal with the consequences. Apparently a wonderful experience. However, your body is yours and you can’t get a new one. So wait, if that person truly loves you they’ll wait ‘til your ready. Hopefully you’re ready after marriage. Sacred.

6 What is Sex? According to the Catholic Church: it is the wedding vows made flesh. "Have you come here freely and without reservation to give yourselves to each other in marriage?" "Will you love and honour each other as man and wife for the rest of your lives?" "Will you accept children lovingly from God, and bring them up according to the law of Christ and his Church?"

7 When you break these down, you come up with four key elements to this love:
Free Have you come here freely? Freely given, with no strings attached. Total Have you come here without reservation? Total, with nothing held back, no reservation or self protection

8 When you break these down, you come up with four key elements to this love:
Faithful Will you love and honor each other for the rest of your life. True to the other person, honoring them and their dignity as a human being. Fruitful Will you accept children lovingly? Giving life to the other person, not taking it away in any form.

9 When trying to describe these four elements we have the following qualities:
Free Can’t be forced If you can’t say no, what does your yes mean? A free choice to love the other person Total Not holding anything back Giving everything to the other

10 When trying to describe these four elements we have the following qualities:
Faithful I will be with you forever Not only in action, also in thought No fantasizing about another person (adultery in their heart) Fruitful “Each and every marriage act must be open to the transmission of life” never do anything of their own will to close the sex act to life.

11 Any Questions? Write down any questions that you have on the following topics with regards to the Church’s position on: Dating Christian Dating Sexual Relations (in or out of the marriage bond) Limits Sexual Lifestyles Do not write questions outside of the topics above as they will be addressed at a later date.
