Oxford Brookes University took part in the pilot Initial one-off £75K energy financing fund. Accrued energy cost savings to be used to fund additional improvements in future years - self funding scheme. Targets - 20% CO2 emissions (& energy saving) reduction by tCO2 savings per year Implementation of projects commenced: metering projects heating and lighting controls insulation Oxford Brookes University took pat within the pilot programme on which the current Higher Ed CM programme is based. On the recommendation of the consultants and based on identified opportunities to save 7000 t CO2 pa the uni set aside £75k for energy efficiency projects. This will help them achieve their target of reducing CO2 emission across the university by 20% by 2010. They have a lengthy list of prioritised opportunities to undertake of which the most highly priotised were projects relating to metering, heating and lighting controls and insulation projects.
