Also check whether you would like to know more about that statement/topic. It might already be part of the course or something you can investigate on an assignment.

What Social Scientists Study
The purpose of social science is to look at Human Behaviours – How we act, why we do what we do, etc. Social scientists look at commonalities and distinctions between individuals and groups

Anthropology Examines the development of human species and cultures around the world This develops over time and occurs locally and globally Looks at inventions, symbols, traditions, language

Psychology Examines the development of human thought, feelings and personality Looks for causes/triggers for behaviours How do we control our emotions and actions?

Sociology Examines the development and structure of society
Deals with groups, interactions and institutions How does society change and how do we change along with it?
