Completing your Graduation Course Planner in Naviance

The Graduation Course Planner is:
A tool for you to use to help you plan what courses you will take in high school. Allows you to quickly see if your plan fulfills high school graduation requirements Identifies areas where you can increase academic rigor to increase your college admission chances.

To Get Started….Log Into Naviance

To create a course plan, click on the Courses Tab in Family Connection.

Click on Manage My Course Plans

Select “add a new plan”.

Select a plan of study by clicking “choose this one” next to the plan.

Start building the plan by clicking on one of the requirements on the left hand side of the screen

Review the details for each requirement.

Select courses for each requirement
Select courses for each requirement. Click “Add selected courses to your draft plan.” As courses are selected the credits scale will reflect courses in the plan.

Under the “Review & Finalize” menu, plans can be viewed by Requirements

… or by Grade Level.

Once complete, click on “submit for approval.”

Scan the plan to see how well the plan prepares you for various types of colleges/careers.

Scanning the plan also provides you with a sense of how your plan stacks up against basic entrance requirements for colleges in your “Colleges I’m Thinking About” list.
