LOST? The first Christmas was chaotic and full of difficulty and conflict, and yet “Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart”. Mary considered all the chaos around her and found peace in the midst of the mess.

The Christmas story reminds us that, though we might find ourselves in difficult and messy situations, Jesus, the Prince of Peace, can give to us a peace that passes understanding.

Peace doesn’t mean troubles are absent, but that God is present.
It was to “unloved” and lowly shepherds that an angelic choir appeared, sharing with them a message of “good news that will cause great joy for all the people”.

“God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him”.   (1 Corinthians 1:28-29)

When you feel lost and afraid, remember that you can always have hope that God will find you because He’s always searching for you, like a good shepherd would.

The Magi or Wisemen were filled with joy when they finally encountered this little child they had travelled so long and sacrificed so much to see.

The Magi were willing to incur much expense and sacrifice much to get themselves in a place to see Jesus and doing so brought them incredible joy. Know that tonight, God wishes to bless you too with a similar all-encompassing joy.
