Roll Out in 2018 in P5-6
S1 and 2, 3 and 4 as Year 2 after review
Develop a modified version of this program for P-4 and have this available in Year 3

WHAT BEHAVIOUR ARE WE FOCUSING ON – Criteria for the Award – GOOD SPORT
Good Sportsmanship is defined as the 'golden rule' of sports – in other words, treating the people you play with and against as you'd like to be treated yourself.
You demonstrate good sportsmanship when you show respect for yourself, your teammates, and your opponents, for the coaches on both sides, and for the referees, judges, and other officials. IT IS NOT A SKILL BASED AWARD

WHAT BEHAVIOUR ARE WE FOCUSING ON – Criteria for the Award

HOW TO NOMINATE FOR THE AWARD?
Nomination Form will be available on the web site at
Between 1st – 20th of each month, team officials can nominate a member of their team for the monthly Good Sport Award.
On the 21st of each month, Operations will put together the nominees on a spread sheet and send through to Karen Cockrem for assessing and a decision
Karen’s decision is final
The winner will be presented with a Certificate and a voucher for $ and the recipient will be promoted through social media, website, notice board at Facility as Cairns Hockey Monthly Good Sport

5. CAIRNS HOCKEY CHECKLIST – JUNIOR GOOD SPORTS AWARD
Place Posters and Notices around the site to increase awareness
10th of each month promote across social media and clubs
18th of each month promote Nomination are closing
21st of each month – nominations are closed
CHA send all nominations to Karen Cockrem who makes the assessment and selects a monthly winner
26th of each month we announce the winner and acknowledge the nominees with Recognition Certificate
Photos and Presentation are arranged and then promotion with poster at Cairns Hockey/Social Media and other
