Tower
Of Babel
Genesis 11:1-9

2. After Noah and his family left the ark with all the animals, they had large families. All these families spoke the same language. The families were getting so large they had to move to different places.

3. After many years the people didn’t worship God anymore
After many years the people didn’t worship God anymore. They worshiped false gods like snakes. One day these people decided that they wanted to make a city with a tower that would reach the heavens. They wanted everyone to live in that city so they wouldn’t be scattered all over the world.

4. As the men were building the tower, God came down to see what they were doing. He didn’t like that they were not worshiping Him anymore, but false gods.
Since they were all speaking the same language God thought they would try to do anything they wanted. But, if they spoke different languages they wouldn’t understand each other.

5. So God came down and made them speak different languages and they were confused. No one knew what the other person was saying.

6. Since they didn’t know what was going on they decided to stop building the city. Everyone left the city and went and lived all over the world.
