4 BACKGROUND Women in male dominated fields (Procurement 2 , fire Brigade 3 in 2012, now 9, management 5 in 2012 and 12 presently.  Established Gender Structure Cleanest town, solid waste management Improved road network with over 58 kilometres of road constructed and refurbished, more drainage, pavements, street lighting(7 roads) Tree planting

KEY ACTIVITIES Street lighting of roads in the city and compounds. Street cleaning and stoppage of vending . Construction of police posts Road, Drainage construction and maintenance. Pavement creation along the main roads. Skills training of women within the institution and in the community. Increasing the number of women at both management and lower levels. Employing more women in fields ordinarily considered to be male dominated such as fire brigade. Engaging women in solid waste management. Men and Women Complement each other. Dialogue and community participation is key for development. Women empowerment and poverty reduction at household level. Continued involvement of stakeholders and community participation. Help communities can grasp the tenets of the SADC protocol on Gender and Development.
