Every time I asked you to respond personally to a story it hopefully helped you to connect to the theme. Many of the book reviews which I’ve read reveal just that about you.
Connect to the theme on a personal level.
We’ve all been greedy like Ivan at some point in our lives
We’ve all lost innocence like the narrator of the Persian Carpet
We’ve all taken (or will take) a leap of faith.

In order to create your images you will have to look beyond the literal and into the symbolic.
The literary terms that you use will also dictate the visuals that you create. If you choose diction you could even mess with the words themselves…..
